CODACA, a leading magnetics supplier, has announced the launch of its CPEA Series super high current power inductors for addressing power loss and temperature rise issues commonly seen in high-frequency, high-temperature DC-DC converters. The series is designed to deliver superior performance, efficiency, and reliability in demanding power environments.

Super High Current Power Inductors CPEA Series

The high current power inductors CPEA series uses CODACA’s proprietary low-loss alloy powder core material and flat wire winding design, offering excellent soft saturation characteristics and stable electrical performance. With exceptionally low core loss at 500 kHz, the inductors maintain high efficiency and consistent performance across a wide operating temperature range of -55℃ to +155℃.

Figure 1 shows that the CPEA2626L exhibits minimal core loss from 25℃ to 120℃.

As shown in Figure 2, the high current power inductors CPEA2626L-100M demonstrates a strong performance advantage: the CPEA2626L-100M achieves a maximum Q value of 110 at around 200 kHz and maintains a Q value of 40 even at 2 MHz, indicating excellent high-frequency efficiency and low core loss.

The CPEA series is available in nine sizes (2017, 2022, 2622, 2626, 3222, 3231, 3635, 4041 and 5051), covering a wide inductance range from 2.20 μH to 100.0 μH, with DC resistance (DCR) values from 0.30 to 6.96 mΩ, saturation currents up to 73.0 A, and temperature rise currents up to 120.0 A. The series exhibits soft saturation characteristics with minimal temperature influence, effectively suppressing high instantaneous peak currents.

These attributes make the CPEA series ideal for energy storage systems, industrial power supplies, and other high power DC-DC converters.
