During normal operation, the converter mode is buck, which outputs the power generated by the 48V system to the 12V system; in this operating state, VD2 is in the disconnected state, while VD1 works in the closed state. On the contrary, when 48V output is needed, the converter switches to boost mode; in this case, VD1 is in the on state, while VD2 works in pulse mode. The specific working mode is shown below:

The high current power inductor VSRU27 series features ultra-low DC resistance, ranging from 0.46 ~ 1.92 mΩ; operating temperature range of -55°C ~ +150°C (including coil heat); and small size, high operating current, low loss, and effective power conversion efficiency. The inductance range is 1.0µH~15µH, and the saturation current is up to 23 A~101.5 A at 25°C. The inductance range is 1.0µH~15µH.

Meanwhile, VSRU27 series adopts flat coil winding, which effectively reduces the DC resistance of the product and improves the space utilisation of the winding; meanwhile, it adopts symmetrical air gap design, which effectively improves the saturation current of the product, realises high power and low temperature rise, and reduces the product's loss to the minimum. The bottom electrode adopts flat wire winding to lead out directly, which effectively reduces the risk of open-circuit; at the same time, the third welding terminal is added to improve the inductor's mechanical stability and anti-vibration capability.
