In February 2025, Codaca’s CPD2315-100M inductor for digital amplifier was released in Infineon lasted audio amplifier reference design REF_MA5302BTLSPS_400W. This reference design adopts Codaca’s CPD2315-100M for output filtering, delivering high audio quality, low noise, and high efficiency. It is suitable for smart speakers, active loudspeakers, instrument amplifiers, car audio amplifiers, smart speaker designs, and audio system solutions.

1. Solution Overview

REF_MA5302BTLSPS_400W is a single-channel BTL Class-D audio power amplifier that features a minimal component count, single power supply operation, high performance, and robust design, providing up to 400 W (4 Ω, 53 V) per channel for audio systems. This reference design demonstrates how to integrate the MA5302M IC with a single power supply and showcases the optimal PCB layout for Infineon’s Class-D IC. It also provides all the necessary internal power management for ease of use.

Figure 1 shows the Infineon digital amplifier evaluation board REF_MA5302BTLSPS_400W, which incorporates Codaca’s self-developed and manufactured high-current digital audio amplifier inductor CPD2315-100M, known for its high saturation current, low DCR, and low temperature rise.

2.2 Test Results:

The audio performance test shows that, with the use of advanced IC chips, power solutions, and the proper selection of inductors, the digital audio amplifier exhibits excellent audio performance: THD+N ≤ 0.05% (100W, 1kHz), Frequency response: 20 Hz – 20 kHz, Efficiency ≥ 90% at 400W output power, delivering high-fidelity audio performance, high efficiency, and high output power.
